Purifying Qigong Course
with Master San Gee Tam
Thursdays, 7-9pm(6 wks) begins April 23rd
Breath, Sound and Movement
This is the second in a series of an ongoing qigong course with Master San Gee Tam.
Fast and Slow Breathing Practices
You will learn about both fast and slow breathing techniques:
Fast breathing releases blockages, opens the energy flow, and brings in rejuvenating new energy. Slow breathing is very calming, and allows the body/mind to balance and heal, promotes deep awareness and restores one's energy resources.
Sound Yoga
The practice of sound vibration work (conscious chanting) allows one to cultivate subtle awareness of the body as their existential root. Participants will learn to activate their chakras (energy centers) with sound and direct it through the body for healing and expanded awareness. Regular practice opens a new dimension of being and helps one to maintain inner tranquility.
Spontaneous Qigong
Spontaneous qigong is an ancient method of allowing the energy body to untie it's own knots. This is most likely the original form of qigong. We use music along with movement to help get your energies moving. We recommend learning this practice only from a master or experienced teacher.
All of these practices balance and refine one's energy, build natural tranquility and produce a profound state of expanded consciousness. As a result, one's health and performance are greatly enhanced.
