13 representatives from the Golden Flower Schools in Europe and the US, including Master San Gee Tam and International Senior Instructor Annukka Holland, visited the Golden Flower School in Omsk.
From the very first moment of our arrival at the airport in Omsk, the Russians welcomed us and treated us as long last brothers and sisters. Their warm hearts and hospitality have touched us throughout our visit and remain an inspiration for all of us.
During a 6-day intensive training, all (60 !) participants displayed tremendous dedication and eagerness to learn. Even though we worked long days (from 7am till after midnight), most breaks were used for extra practice and rehearsing the newly acquired material. Needles to say that everybody's Tai Chi level jumped accordingly.
It was clear that they had come to the training well prepared by Chief Instructor Vladimir Pankov, on all levels: during the evening sessions we learned and practiced new communication skills. Cultural differences and language barriers melted away under the Siberian sun (it was mostly around 37°C or 100°F) as we understood that with our being we are all connected.
Meanwhile any local evening classes were taught by European and US guest Instructors, which was another rich and inspiring exchange.
In spite of or maybe thanks to the long working hours, after the evening sessions a great number of tea parties was held in peoples rooms. High energy, Happy Chi and a feeling of community were the common denominator of these parties. Words fall short to describe the tremendous heart of the Russian hosts.
With this visit a bridge of Love and Happy Chi has been built and Omsk is no longer far away.

Siberia was an amazing experience. The people of Omsk touched my heart with their generosity and openess and I could sense that we touched their hearts too.
It was a prefect time of celebration and gratitude for being with each other, a true experience of what the Golden Flower School is; a community of people connecting, supporting, growing and sharing in joy and love.
It is of course with much thanks to Master San Gee Tam and Annukka for their vision and continued effort in creating a space in which we were and are able to discover ourselves and experience each other in this way. And thanks to Vladimir for his invitation and his hard work in creating such a fabulous school for us to connect with. And of course thanks to all of you for being here.
