| Free Tai Chi Introduction

During the introduction, you will have a chance to try some Tai Chi movements, get some perspective on this ancient martial art, and experience the calm, alert way of being that is Tai Chi. The possibilities of Tai Chi practice include improved health, more focus, quiet mind, self discovery, and a deeper sense of enjoyment. Tai Chi practice can also give you a greater sense of control over yourself and your life. |
| Workshop: The Power of Chinese Herbs

This is the first in an ongoing series of classes with Joe Hollis, a worldrenown master herbalist and "mountain man" who lives in the NC mountains amidst his gardens with his apprentices. In this two hour lecture you will learn about and sample some Chinese tonic herbs. |
| New Beginner Course
January 15 for 6 weeks |
Our new beginner course begins on September 10 and will run for six weeks. This is a great way to learn the basics of Tai Chi and its related practices. If you know of someone who is interested in Tai Chi and would like to give it a try, please let him or her know about this new beginner course. |
| Tai Chi Sword Form I
Saturdays 11:15-12:15, begins January 26th |
This is a Tai Chi short form, first in a series of sword forms. You learn to use the sword to expand your field of awareness and energy. We will also practice the fan form at the end of each class. |

| Health Preservation Association Qigong
Series

Four new exciting seasonal workshops of Health Preservation Qigong. The first of the series includes: "Heart, Lung and Intestines Qigong" o "Qigong for Arthritis", and o "Principles of Taichi & Qigong" o This is a national program newly founded by Grandmaster Jiang Jian Ye.
